Republican US Sen. Smith has been desperately trying to look more moderate, bipartisan and Democrat-friendly. He doesn't mentioned being a Republican and his Portland TV ads tout how he voted with Sen. Obama and has two Democrat supporters. Now BlueOregon.com's has caught Sen. Smith's campaign running an anti-Portland TV ad outside of the Portland TV market:
